Our Educators

We take great care in recruiting staff that are a good fit for our setting. We are not, after all, a regular nursery. Wherever staff come from, they have to retrain their skills and their thinking. The end result is a very special and dedicated staff team that work for very little monetary reward.

Every member of our staff team is qualified.

We have staff ranging from Qualified Teachers, through Foundation Degree and Qualified Early Years Levels 2, 3, 4 and 5.

We have First Aid Qualified staff and all hold food hygiene certificates.

We offer an ongoing in-house programme of training, and staff are continually training to upgrade their professional development levels. When staff access training from outside the setting we ensure it is cascaded to other members of our team.

Our in-house training programme includes: Safeguarding children; Supporting children with SEND; Schema training; Communication training; Paperwork and Assessment support; Wellbeing and involvement training; Supporting children with trauma; Mindful teaching course; Positive Behaviour Management structure.

Oliver is the Deputy Manager and a Senior Educator. He is also on our Management Team. Oliver works leads the Owls and offers support to the Robins as needed. Oliver's commitment to the setting is obvious. He is often here in his own time organising or sorting out the animals and doing “stuff”. His knowledge of nature and love of pond life is enthralling for both staff and children. He is an outstanding role model for our children.
