Note: This activity needs to have parental supervision at all times.

Overnight freeze some ice in your freezer. We chopped some milk bottles up and used the bottom half.

Layout your ice chunks, salt, paint and some water (jugs, bottles and pipettes are all better for little hands to control).

The salt causes the ice it is in contact with to melt faster, creating rivulets and ice holes.

The paint highlights these formations!
